Lead, Connect, and Strengthen Pediatric Readiness

PECC Network Leads help bring PECCs and organizations together to strengthen Pediatric Readiness across hospitals, health systems, and communities.

 

While a PECC typically champions Pediatric Readiness within an individual ED, a PECC Network Lead helps extend that work across multiple organizations, creating connections, facilitating shared learning, and helping PECCs learn from one another rather than working in isolation.

 

ImPACTS supports Network Leads with the guidance, tools, training, and connections needed to build and sustain effective PECC Networks.

What Does a PECC Network Lead Do?

PECC Network Leads serve as connectors, facilitators, and champions for Pediatric Readiness across their networks.

 

The specific role may look different depending on the structure and needs of the network, but Network Leads can help:

 

  • Connect PECCs across participating hospitals and organizations

  • Coordinate network activities and shared learning opportunities

  • Facilitate peer mentorship and resource sharing

  • Identify common Pediatric Readiness challenges and opportunities

  • Connect participants with relevant tools, resources, and expertise

  • Share successful implementation strategies across organizations

  • Build leadership capacity among PECCs

  • Support sustainable Pediatric Readiness efforts across the network

 

Network Leads do not need to have all the answers. Their role is to help create the relationships and infrastructure that allow organizations to learn, problem-solve, and improve together.

Becoming a PECC Network Lead

You may already be doing the work of a Network Lead.

 

If you support PECCs across multiple hospitals, coordinate Pediatric Readiness efforts within a health system or region, provide outreach to community EDs, or bring organizations together around Pediatric Readiness, the PECC Network Lead role may be a natural next step.
